News

Welcome: to all our visitors, feel free to look around our beautiful church, particularly the St John Ogilvie Chapel & Exhibition.

Church cleaning: at the recent PPC meeting it was agreed that cleaning sessions will be cut to monthly instead of fortnightly due to the reduced number of volunteers. As always, thanks are due to all those who continue to carry out this task.

Thank you: to the men who put up and dismantled the Easter Tomb, and to Edna and Winona for their creative work with the Easter Cross display and flowers. All these efforts helped focus our thoughts and prayers over the Easter period.

Mass preparation: please remember ten minutes silence before Mass begins to allow everyone to prepare for the Holy Mass – the “source and summit” of our Faith.

Heartfelt plea: Whatever your God given gifts, please do have a good think about how you might serve our church further, and speak to Deacon Graeme or Father Kingsley if you wish to volunteer.

Light of the North: the Easter/Spring edition of the diocesan magazine is available now on the diocesan website LOTN Spring Issue 61 2026

Second collections this month: 30/31: Day for Life.   In June: 13/14 Maintenance Fund; 27/28 Peter’s Pence.

Last week:   Collection: £253.77     Communications: £34.50      Att: 61

Pope’s Prayer Intention: May: That everyone might have food: Let us pray that everyone, from large producers to small consumers, be committee to avoid wasting food and to ensure that everyone has access to quality food.  June: For the values of sports: Let us pray that sports be

an instrument of peace, encounter and dialogue among cultures and nations, and that they promote values such as respect, solidarity and personal growth.

Safeguarding: The Parish Safeguarding Coordinator is Elizabeth Danby,  and she can be contacted as shown overleaf.  The diocesan Safeguarding  page can be found at Safeguarding – Roman Catholic Diocese of Aberdeen (rcda.scot) and the text of In God’s Image (V2) is accessed through the Bishops Conference website.
